WordPress is the publishing software of choice for both blogs and newspapers.

As I said the other day:

Don’t be obsessed by defining what a blog is —it can be so many things (modern writings, or formal writings). Instead, focus your attention on the blogging software, which is more and more the premier kind of web publishing tools —as opposed to the old-fashioned HTML editors, which produce classic websites.

Matt Mullenweg points to the website of a British newspaper (Express & Star), which is entirely powered by blogging software WordPress —the same software that powers Midas Oracle.

  1. greggles says:

Are there other newspapers that use it?

And by the way, my name is Greg, and I really appreciate all your work and writing on prediction markets – really valuable stuff.

    Thanks!

  2. Plenty of newspapers and magazines use WordPress to power their “blogs” section. Example: The New York Times. Some use it to power their whole news media website. I wasn’t able to find the full lists.
