On your WordPress.org blog (mattcutts.com), why did you switch from domainname.com/year/month/day/sample-post/ to domainname.com/postname/ ? Has this to do with how PageRank flows within a site?

InTrade has a higher PageRank than BetFair. No change.

Google has just updated its external PageRank servers. (The PageRank is updated internally in a continuous way, but Google updates its external servers once a quarter or so.)

- InTrade is 7/10. BetFair 6/10. HSX 6/10. HubDub 6/10.

- BetFair’s blog (Betting @ BetFair) is 5/10, proving, once again, that it is a mediocre publication run by mediocre people. BetFair’s second blog (BetFair Predicts) is 4/10. Midas Oracle is 6/10.

- For the record, the goal to attain (for both exchanges and publications) is 7/10.

It is a good theoretical material. The only thing: The BetFair SEOs have been incapable of raising the PageRank of both Betting @ BetFair (PR5) and BetFair Predicts (PR4). So, if their advice are so precious, why can’t they get results at home?

Addendum: Both MidasOracle.org and PoliticalBetting.com are PR6.

Google downgrades both InTrade and Wiser Than The Crowd.

- InTrade is now PageRank 6/10 —from 7/10, some months ago.

- Wiser Than The Crowd is now 5/10 —from 6/10 very recently.

Jason Ruspini can testify in the courts of law that I predicted the WTTC downgrade. I often sees Google giving a high PageRank to a brand-new hot site, and then coming back to its sense a bit later. (My advice to Ben Shannon: Keep working on your white-hat linkbait strategy if you want to surpass Midas Oracle, baby.)

- Google PageRank of BetFair Predicts: 4 / 10.

- Number of feed subscribers at Google Reader for Betting @ BetFair: 29.

- Number of feed subscribers at Google Reader for BetFair Predicts: 17.

All this in spite of the 45 part-time writers and the SEO experts (or so they think they are) that BetFair is employing.

I would fire them all —from top to bottom.
