“HOME” is a documentary film/movie by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The film/movie is entirely composed of aerial shots of various places around Earth, taken in over 50 countries.

How to download the HOME trailer:

• Install any video capture software. I recommend Video Download Helper because it is more universal, but Easy YouTube Video Download is good enough. Both software packages are extensions for FireFox. [*]
• Go to the YouTube channel for the film/movie “HOME”. Choose your language.
• Video Download Helper: Select “HQ 22″ in the scrolling list (at the right upper corner of FireFox). Save the high-quality MP4 file to your hard drive. [**]
• Easy YouTube Video Download: Right-click on “HD” (on the right sidebar) to open the link in another tab. Save the high-quality MP4 file to your hard drive.
• Be patient while downloading; it is a big file.
• If the 2 methods described above fail, then use a GreaseMonkey script to download the MP4 file —no HD, alas.
• If you didn’t manage to download the MP4 file from YouTube, you might have gotten the FLV file. (“FLV” is YouTube’s native file system). To convert the FLV files into MP4 files, use MPEG StreamClip.

How to download “HOME”, Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s film/movie about Planet Earth

Home is a 2009 documentary by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The film is almost entirely composed of aerial shots of various places on Earth. It shows the diversity of life on Earth and how humanity is threatening the ecological balance of the planet. The movie was released simultaneously on June 5, 2009 in cinemas across the globe, on DVD, Blu-ray, television, and on YouTube. Opening in 181 countries, the film broke the world record for the largest film release in history. The film was financed by PPR, a French multinational holding company specializing in retail shops and luxury brands.

The documentary chronicles the present day state of the Earth, its climate and how we as the dominant species have long-term repercussions on its future. A theme expressed throughout the documentary is that of linkage—how all organisms and the Earth are linked in a “delicate but crucial” natural balance with each other, and how no organism can be self-sufficient.
