Ex-NewsFutures Emile Servan-Schreiber’s father tried (unsuccessfully) to get François Mitterrand to grant French citizenship to Steve Jobs. — [SCOOP]

Le Point explains that Jean-Jacques Servan-Schreiber, who was to attend Steve Jobs’s 30th birthday party, phoned the French president’s cabinet director (Jacques Attali) in February 1985 to get them to offer a “prestigious” gift to the Apple co-founder. The French president dismissed the idea. (Le Point does not say what Steve Jobs ended up with. Maybe Emile knows.)
