Since I am a state employee mostly paid via tax dollars, all that I will say is that I have the utmost in esteem and respect for the intelligent, hard-working, far-sighted public servants who dedicate their lives in service to their fellow Texans.

Judging from the proposed new history standards, I’d probably have a lot of reading to do before I was educated enough on “real” history to be a politician. (Well, now that I think about it, I don’t think lack of an education is a barrier to entry…)
