How The Ensemble squeaked by to win the NetFlix Prize

As he tells me, Simon Owens “got a chance to interview one of its members at length about what it was like during the final moments leading up to the deadline, right before they reached the 10.10% mark”.

UPDATE: The winner is a seven-person team of statisticians, machine-learning experts and computer engineers from the United States, Austria, Canada and Israel —BellKor’s Pragmatic Chaos.
