Why not “Viacom unloads on GE” or “CBS unloads on NBC”?
It was foolish for Santelli to pull out, which allowed Stewart to promote the same lie as Keiser’s show: framing Santelli as a “derivatives trader” who has somehow benefited from prior bailouts. The fact is Santelli was skeptical of the bankers’ bailouts. The livelihood of responsible traders like Santelli is now being threatened by legislation to pay for those bailouts.
And when someone makes market predictions publicly everyday, it’s very easy to pull embarrassing footage. There isn’t really an analog in less rigorous professions like joke-reading.
