Betdaq has set up another website, bettingexchange.com.
They did that just for the purpose of passing over BetFair for the “betting exchange” query.
It is working. Congrats.
However, it remains to be seen whether this SEO trick will stand the test of time. I am a bit skeptical since the bettingexchange.com webpage is only a front for the Betdaq website. Google will get to compute that trick, later on, and will put BetFair back in the #2 spot, just after the Wikipedia entry on betting exchanges. Let’s take a bet.
SEO artists are only able to deliver tricks. It works on the short term. But nothing replace a long-term Internet strategy.
SEO artists are schmucks.

It’s not obvious this is purely an SEO trick.
That’s a good domain name in general: they probably had to buy it.
It’s also good to capture type-in traffic.

They are not using it in a natural way: building a real website. Once you click on the first link, it directs to the Betdaq.com website. It is a trick, not a developed website.
