Wow, now I am impressed, Chris.

Hmm. That’s a little confused. MIT is one of my consulting clients (but you knew that, Chris.) I’m working with Tom Malone’s Center for Collective Intelligence.
I wonder if Jason had to create that affiliation in order to recommend me. Will the recommendation go away if I try to remove that description of my affiliation?
I’m certainly working with MIT as a Prediction Market Consultant, but I’m not “at MIT”.
I can’t imagine the recommendation would go away, but I am happy to file it again if it does.

I don’t think it’s too confusing, though. To me, a “consultant at MIT” doesn’t imply any relationship with MIT more than you actually have.
Chris Hibbert typed “Prediction Market Consultant” and “MIT”, and LinkedIn put the “at” in between.
So another thing that’s misleading about this description is that MIT isn’t my only only consulting client. As I’ve http://www.midasoracle.org/2008/05/02/zocalo-news described here before, I’m also working with Chapman University. I shouldn’t have to describe myself both as project lead and as a consultant at each company I work with.
The entry is also redundant with the Zocalo listing. Together there should only be one position description for my work on Zocalo and Prediction Markets.
If I created that listing, it was a mistake. I’ll delete it, and if Jason’s recommendation disappears with it, I’ll ask him to re-enter it.
