As you know, I created a group named “Prediction Markets” at LinkedIn. It has now 137 139 members. You are free to join. The purpose of this group is to display a logo on each member’s profile, and to be an additional tool of networking for the prediction market people. (That is, if you click on that logo, you’ll get a list of people who are into prediction markets.)
Today, I am telling you that I am opening up the “management” (so to speak) of this LinkedIn group to (up to) 9 other people. That is, today, I am naming some “co-managers”, who will have the same power as I have to manage that LinkedIn group.
- Nigel Eccles of HubDub
- Emile Servan-Schreiber of NewsFutures
- David Pennock of Yahoo! Research
- John Delaney of InTrade
- UPDATE: David Perry of Consensus Point
- UPDATE: Chris Hibbert of Zocalo
- UPDATE: Adam Siegel of Inkling Markets
If a scholar, and/or a BetFair manager, want(s) to become a “co-manager”, too, let me know. Or any other smart person who would ask. It’s limited to 10 “co-managers”, for your information.
Let me know if I should invite one person in particular. I am open to all suggestions. Or do contact the persons listed above, as they have now the same power as I have, now.

The “ownership” of this LinkedIn group is still associated with Chris Masse, but I am open to all suggestions. Maybe the ownership should be passed to an Institute (or whatever), one day. [*] However, LinkedIn does not accept companies (and non-profits) as members of their social networking website (at this time). I am open to all suggestions to make this LinkedIn group open, successful… and useful.
-
[*] In that logic, the 10th seat of this board should be reserved for a yet-to-be-created Institute for prediction markets, so that the change of ownership of this group could be operated, at one time in the distant future.

The number of members grows we very day. We are 139, as I update this present post. But when you read this, the figure will be higher…

That’s a great step, Chris. Thanks.
