In the IEM software you can perform the equivalent of a &quot;short sell&quot; by buying the bundle of all outcomes, and then selling the outcome you don&#039;t like. I guess the authors are saying that traders are averse to doing this. I agree &quot;short sell&quot; is probably not the best terminology.</description>

can anyone of you please paraphrase the short aversion bias in the google markets for me? The IEM software does not allow short selling as stated on page 4. So I do not get the sentence &quot;This suggests some traders may be adverse to short selling securities.&quot; on page 7.
