Rasmussen Markets = InTrade’s Play-Money Prediction Markets

Rasmussen Markets = Yet another pointless and useless play-money prediction exchange, traded mainly by InTrade bots [*] —info that is not disclosed to the public, of course.

[*] There aren’t any automated market makers at NewsFutures, my preferred play-money prediction exchange.

  1. It’s good that play-InTrade sites (at least this one and WSJ) have the same prices and bid/ask queues. Still play money, but at least not fragmented and near zero volume.

Do play-InTrade bots utilize real-InTrade data?

  2. InTrade programmers have created a linking between their real-money prediction exchange and their play-money prediction exchanges (FT Predict, WSJ Prediction Market, etc.) —without disclosing it to the public. The FT Predict guy, though, stated to me that his goal was to turn off the automated market maker as soon as possible. See the archives if you want the link. What I’m against, here, is not the play-money prediction exchange powered by InTrade, but the facts that the bots are not disclosed. If they were either turned off or disclosed, then I would look at that in a more favorable way.
