InTrade CEO John Delaney is so happy that Yahoo! News has endorsed his illegal prediction exchange [*] that, if you asked him right now, he could lay an egg.

See him here trumpeting his rational exuberance.

UPDATE: Mike Giberson comments…

What makes Intrade an “illegal prediction exchange”? [*] Hardly seems that U.S. law should be used to assess the legality of an Irish operation. Perhaps you say that Intrade doesn’t try hard enough to avoid dealing with U.S. citizens, but I suspect the many U.S. based traders in real money exchanges would point to the ambiguous nature of U.S. law in this arena. Maybe there is some darker side of Intrade of which I am unaware. Irish laws favor driving on the left hand side of the street, but that hardly makes millions of drivers in the United States (and France) into illegal drivers when they drive on the right hand side of the street.

[*] ANSWER: The Wire Act and Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006.
