Google’s Sergey Brin was skeptical, at first, about the wisdom of crowds.

I have just watched a video featuring Sergey Brin talking about Google and the business of running a search engine. I have noticed that, in his introduction, Sergey Brin said that he couldn’t (and still can’t, in part) figure out why Wikipedia works well. I have had the same experience. I went from being a skeptic to being a (critical) fanboy, when it comes to Wikipedia. (One blogger who has helped me tremendously understand the value of Wikipedia, and also of open-source software, is Mike Linksvayer, just to mention him in passing.)

Besides the introduction, the rest of the video won’t be of any interest to the Midas Oracle readers, unless they have a strong interest in Google. (Which is my case. Some say that Chris Masse is a BetFair fanboy, but that’s not true, I’m first a Google fanboy.)
