Who will make an unconditional offer for ABN AMRO by 11.59pm on 31 December 2007 – Barclays, RBS, or neither of these?The market will be settled based on the first to happen of one of the following events:
Barclays = a Barclays (or a consortium including Barclays) offer for ABN AMRO being declared wholly unconditional by 11.59pm on 31 December 2007.
RBS = a RBS (or a consortium including RBS) offer for ABN AMRO being declared wholly unconditional by 11.59pm on 31 December 2007.
Neither = a third party offer not involving Barclays or RBS for ABN AMRO being declared wholly unconditional by 11.59pm on 31 December 2007 OR no offer being declared wholly unconditional by 11.59pm on 31 December 2007.
Subsequent events do NOT affect the result of this market. Users should be aware they are NOT allowed to bet on this event if they are physically present in Austria or Germany. For further information please see our Rules & Regs.
