NEW BETFAIR UK BASE RATE PREDICTION MARKETS

From Tuesday 3 July, for an indefinite trail [*] period, we will be offering long term markets on the level of the UK Base Rate.
These will allow you to bet on level of the UK Base Rate at a specified future time.
The initial markets are:
Sep07 UK Rate 5.75
Sep07 UK Rate 6.00
Dec07 UK Rate 5.75
Dec07 UK Rate 6.00
Dec07 UK Rate 6.25
Sep07 markets relate to the level of the base rate at 11.00 Europe/London (GMT +1.00) on 17 Sep 2007.
Dec07 markets relate to the level of the base rate at 11.00 Europe/London on 17 Dec 2007.
These markets can found under the following menu structure:
Financial Bets – Interest Rates – UK Interest Rates -
Customers should be aware these markets will not be voided in the event of an unscheduled rate announcement or in the event of a rate change at a scheduled meeting.
Please note these markets will be run in addition to the existing markets on the change in UK Base Rate at scheduled MPC meetings.
