The Southern Diversity blogger:
I was just informed by HedgeStreet that I will not be offered the position. I had a feeling that I wouldn’t get the job since I traveled all the way to Chicago and the interview was less than 10 minutes… where no questions were asked. This tells me that they already had someone they wanted to hire and I was pretty much a quota. They told me that I lacked experience. If that is the case – they knew how much experience I had before they asked me to go to Chicago for an interview. Like I said the interview was less than 10 minutes and one of the guys that interviewed me kept leaving to go answer his phone so they knew before I even flew to Chicago that I would not be getting the job. I should feel good because they really appreciated me “going the extra mileâ€. What an absolute waste of my time!
… and money.
Of course, we would need the opposite version of the story if we wanted to make up our mind on this incident.
