Their idea summaries, so far:

- Prediction markets

- Miscellaneous

- Managing information

- Kids

- Wikis

- Comments, mashups and tagging

- Data services

- Ze Frank

- Social networks

In passing, I “remark” that they don’t get web writing.

The small team of The Economist’s Project Red Stripe is about to make the decision on which project it will “take to market”. I’m biased. I believe that displaying market-generated predictions is the logical extension of any idea and news publishers. But should The Economist set up its own prediction sub-exchange or should it just cherry-pick the probabilities generated on various liquid prediction exchanges out there?

Previous: The Economist should set up The Open Institute of Prediction Markets. (thanks to Mike Linksvayer for ideas) + ENTREPRENEURSHIP and MARKETING

The Economist should set up The Open Institute of Prediction Markets.

WHY THE ECONOMIST SHOULD ADD MARKET-GENERATED PROBABILITIES NEXT TO ITS CONTENT.
