Our Mike Linksvayer on March 11, 2007:
The Economist has a perfect userbase for running policy analysis markets. Every article should have a sidebar with the relevant market(s) displayed. Readers should be able to suggest markets with a wiki like system for honing contract terms and a digg like system for selecting the best.
The Economist (Project Red Stripe) on March 22, 2007:
Most contributors in this area would like The Economist to launch an online service allowing subscribers to participate and even create such prediction markets. “The Economist has a perfect userbase for running policy analysis markets. Every article should have a sidebar with the relevant market(s) displayed”, suggests a contributor who prefers to remain unnamed.
PLEASE GIVE CREDIT TO OUR MIKE LINKSVAYER. [Update: Done. It reads now: "suggests Mike Linksvayer".]

My name was in the post initially — it showed up in my google blog[ego-]search feed. I don’t know why they thought I prefer to remain unnamed. Maybe I did or did not check something on the submission form. It really doesn’t matter.
I just hope they run with the idea…
Mike,
You did not respond to their e-mail asking if you wanted your name to be cited.
Anyway, now they will cite your name.
CONGRATS, MIKE.
