Who will be the next French President? Nicolas Sarkozy or Francois Bayrou?

2007 French President - Betting

- There will be two rounds (Sunday April 22, 2007 + Sunday May 6, 2007). The finale is for the two most popular candidates (unless one got more than 50% in the first round).

- If right-wing extremist (racist and anti-Semitic) Jean-Marie Le Pen passes the first round (like 5 years ago), he will be smashed by his second-round opponent (one of the three other names you see in the table above).

- If Republican Nicolas Sarkozy (a man) goes against Socialist Segolene Royal (the woman) in the second round, polls show the Republican will win.

- If Centrist Francois Bayrou manages to pass the first round, then polls show he will smash whatever opponent will be against him —if you can believe it.

LOSER BETS: Extremist Jean-Marie Le Pen & Socialist Segolene Royal

SURE BET: Republican Nicolas Sarkozy

BETTING THE FARM ON THE CHALLENGER : Centrist Francois Bayrou — [Beware. Watch out for confirmation in the upcoming polls.]
