US presidential election prediction markets: HedgeStreet or Hollywood Stock Exchange??

Since he heard from Deep Throat (here, on Midas Oracle) that the US CFTC has already given its green light to US presidential election derivatives, Jason “The Brain” Ruspini is pulling for HedgeStreet to organize these prediction markets. I concur. (Previous: HedgeStreet had a major layoff last week.)

I have a suggestion for the Hollywood Stock Exchange. Why not running US presidential election prediction markets? After all, the HSX has tons of motivated traders. And the HSX did run non-movie prediction markets in the past: the 2003 California gubernatorial election, and the 2006 Word Cup of Soccer.

Question to Alex Costakis and Amy Lamare: Wouldn’t be a great marketing ploy, which would attract more media coverage to HSX?
