Marco Ottaviani is a professor of economics at the London Business School and author of some papers on prediction markets.
I have just received an e-mail from a someone I know, praising Marco Ottaviani, so I wanted to give this scholar a link.
Nothing else to say.
His paper with Sorensen, “Forecasting and Rank-Order Contests” is underappreciated, IMO, with great relevance for play-money prediction markets and other forecasting techniques.

Deschamp’s and Gergaud’s paper on horse-racing tipsters is similar, but more specific and easier to read.
