Nicolas Sarkozy will be the next President of the French Republic.

I am betting the farm on him, at NewsFutures. I spent all of my $2,000 (in fake money) on that Republican candidate.

Does anyone have a comment on the NewsFutures’ automated market maker? Quite quick. Is it compatible with a true pricing? Any idea?

I saw today that the main liberal weekly [*] had a cover with a group of leftist French “intellectuals” (or so they think they are) declaring they would vote for the Republican. I almost fainted. I couldn’t believe my eyes —which went out of my orbits, like in the Tex Avery’s cartoons. Something weird is going on in the F. country, my friends.

Nouvel Obs

The intellectuals: Are they veering to the right? (Central is BHL, alias Bernard-Henri Lévy, a writer with an inflated ego —but whom I admire nevertheless because he attracted public attention to the wars in Serbia and Bosnia.)

[*] Because the French daily newspapers are badly managed, they are very expensive (and loose money). The French prefer the weeklies.

UPDATE: MIDAS ORACLE PROCLAIMS REPUBLICAN NICOLAS SARKOZY AS THE FRENCH PRESIDENT-ELECT.
