PharmaDAQ: pharmaceutical industry prediction exchange

#1. PharmaDAQ. A pharmaceutical industry prediction exchange (betting exchange). I am not able to read their white paper —are you?? Goal: forecasting the future size of each drug market segment. Which software are they using? PharmaDAQ is using convertible play money:

Earn virtual wealth and then trade it in for champagne or even free / discounted eyefortravel conference tickets or special reports.

#2. Note that their P.R. blablating uses the “wisdom of crowds” as their mantra (not “prediction markets”), and mingles the concept of market-generated predictions with some other non-trading forecasting technique.

#3. As I have noted, TradeSports-Intrade and BetFair seem to be uncapable of tapping the needs for vertical prediction exchanges (betting exchanges). It’s a pity, since they are the ones with the financial resources to develop and maintain sophisticated software for prediction markets. (Previous: see the NewsFutures problem.)
